TV | Motilium Kape, Baracks? Commercial

I was late for work earlier today, because it was difficult to stop watching the Inaugural Parade of Barack Obama, who just took his Oath of Office as the 44th President of the USA. I wasn't able to watch his historic oath-taking, as I was already asleep last night when it was being aired, but I did manage to catch the parade that followed afterwards.

And yet, every time I see President Obama now I can't help but remember the silly and extremely hilarious TV commercial that premiered on local TV last December; it was an ad for Motilium, an anti-dyspepsia medication. The commercial features a Barack lookalike and comedian Ate Glow, who specializes in impersonating President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. In the ad, GMA and Barack are having dinner, when a crisis ensues:

I seldom like local commercials because most of them are crap, but this one is pure genius and is just so damned funny that it made me laugh nonstop. The first time I saw it, I went, "WTF???" and burst out laughing at the same time. My sister also sent me a YouTube link to it on that same day, and I wasted no time spreading the link to others.

The commercial was made by the TBWA SMP ad agency, and directed by Erik Matti. Hats off to everyone involved in the making of this awesome ad.
